Compressor clutch

My a.c. compressor clutch don't engage after my motor swap. If I recharge my system with 134a Freon do my clutch need to be engaged. What else could be the cause of my compressor not engaging for me to have cold air?

My clutch isnt engaging at all. I was gonna buy a can of freon (ac pro with guage)

Just change out my evap sensor but clutch is still not engaging.

Fixed my a.c. but just adding more 134a. I'm guessing it wasn't in there.

Don't forget to check if your AC has a leak.
