Making ticking noise and idles low

Was driving my 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium down the hwy yesterday and all of a sudden I started hearing a ticking noise and then lost acceleration power, and check engine light. I took it to the local autozone and the code read that I had a bad Cam positioning sensor (bank 1), so I replaced it and it still is doing the same thing, anyone have an idea what is going on?
